Brief History In Spring 2001, the Ottawa School Breakfast Program initiated the first Family Fun Fair. An instant hit with host shopping malls and carnival operators, the fair has raised thousands of dollars for the program. Based on the fair’s success in Ottawa, the event has spread to communities across Ontario. To date, nearly $200,000 has been raised to meet the nutritional needs of children across the province.
